Elvin is survived by his wife Bernita, sons and families: Tim and wife Claudia, Cody, Wyoming, and granddaughters Kristin Wade Hyatt (Ken), Highland Ranch, Colorado, and Adrienne Wade Contreras (Dan), Highland Ranch, Colorado and great granddaughter Kennedy Contreras. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Azle and Evan and sister, Jeannette. Elvin married Bernita Kauffman Liechty, July 1998, a wonderful addition to the Wade family. After 49 years of marriage, Ardith passed away. From that union, 4 sons were born: Tim, 1950, Paul, 1953, Mark, 1955, and Matthew in 1957. After retirement, he and Ardith moved back to the Houston area, where they opened Wade Shoes for a short time, while Elvin built a house on what is now called the Rocking 4W Ranch, south of Houston because one first love - besides his family - was working with cattle and horses.Įlvin married Ardith Ann Hinkle, April 3, 1949.
He spent the next 30 years working in the oilfield for Standard Oil Company, then established several of his own businesses, while also working as the Production Superintendent for General Crude until his retirement and 1980. Elvin taught school in Texas County until 1953, when he moved his new family to Taft, California, to work in the oilfields. He joined the Army, Decemand honorably discharged December 7, 1946. Elvin grew up in the Slabtown and Raymondville area, graduating from Houston High School. Wade, age 85, son of William and Althea (Hamrick) Wade, was born Augin Slabtown, Missouri.He passed away to be with the Lord, March 31, 2013.Įaster Sunday, in Houston, Missouri. Waddell, 71 years of Bath, Pennsylvania died on Monday, Decemin the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. A graveside service and interment will be held in the Mountain View Cemetery in South Range, Michigan. She is survived by her son Michael Waara of Bakersfield, sister Alice Begwin of Detroit numerous nieces and nephews and friend Jerri Willlis. She was an office manager and bookkeeper for 23 years with Arthur Griffin, M.D.
